Tucked away in the leafy St Stephen’s area of Ealing, this beautifully refurbished home is a masterclass in balancing modern living with timeless elegance. Having previously lived in Brick Lane, The Owners were drawn to West Ealing for its abundance of green spaces, quiet residential streets, and the convenience of the Elizabeth Line.
Having spent lockdown in a small flat, they longed for space, light, and a seamless connection to the outdoors. Their vision was clear, retain the home’s original features while embracing a contemporary aesthetic that feels both welcoming and practical. With large families, small children, and dogs frequently visiting, the house needed to be as functional as it was beautiful. Open-plan living, soaring ceilings, and vast glass doors now flood the home with natural light, creating an effortless flow between inside and out
The transformation was brought to life by Daniel Kowalczyk of DK Home Refurbishment, who led the project with meticulous attention to detail. The renovation included a vast back extension and a loft conversion, complete with all new plumbing and electrics. While the scale of the work was significant, Daniel recalls no major challenges–just a rewarding process of expanding and enhancing the space. His proudest contribution? The bespoke wall paneling and decorative features, which add a refined yet characterful touch to the home.
From its restored cornicing to its thoughtfully designed joinery, every detail of this St Stephen's sanctuary has been carefully considered, resulting in a home that is as stylish as it is inviting
