What the owner loves:

We have absolutely loved living in Dickens Yard. The lifestyle and social community are second to none, and it has been a fantastic place to live. We will miss the flat enormously, particularly the stunning sunrise views overlooking the church. It holds many happy memories and will always have a special place in our hearts.

There are only four flats on our floor, which creates a peaceful and private atmosphere. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming, both on our floor and throughout the building, with the community mainly consisting of professionals and young families. The sound insulation is excellent, and we rarely hear any noise from neighbouring apartments, making it a very quiet and comfortable place to live.

We were initially very attracted to the central location and the convenience of having everything on our doorstep. We love grabbing our morning coffee from Gail’s before heading to Gymbox, and we regularly make use of the residents’ amenities, particularly the spa and swimming pool. We’re also spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafés and shops.

One of the things we have appreciated most is the strong sense of community in Dickens Yard. There are several helpful WhatsApp groups that make it easy to connect with neighbours, share information and stay informed about local matters. There are also plenty of community and local events throughout the year, which help create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Why We’d Buy It

There are plenty of apartments in Dickens Yard, but very few combine the things buyers actually care about quite as well as this one.

Firstly, it’s nearly 1,000 sq ft. That might not sound particularly exciting until you start viewing other flats and realise just how much extra space that gives you. The open-plan living area measures over 22ft by 16ft, creating a genuinely sociable space that’s equally suited to hosting friends, working from home, or simply stretching out without feeling on top of each other.

Secondly, the outside space is exceptional. The wide terrace runs the full width of the reception room and enjoys arguably one of Dickens Yard’s most attractive outlooks, with uninterrupted views towards Christ the Saviour Church. The owner wasn’t exaggerating about the sunrises. They’re pretty spectacular.

We’re also big fans of the layout. The two bedrooms sit at opposite ends of the apartment, creating a degree of privacy that’s often missing in apartment living. The principal bedroom is particularly impressive, with its own en suite and distinctive shape that makes it feel more boutique hotel than apartment block.

Then there’s Quartz House itself. As the newest tower within Dickens Yard, it offers the contemporary finish buyers expect, together with access to the development’s concierge service, gym, swimming pool and spa facilities. For many residents, that’s the difference between owning an apartment and enjoying a lifestyle.

Finally, the location remains one of Ealing’s strongest selling points. Step outside and you’re surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops and the Elizabeth Line, putting Bond Street within easy reach whilst allowing you to return home to one of West London’s most established neighbourhoods.

If you’re looking for a sizeable, well-positioned apartment with a large terrace, secure parking and a view you’ll never tire of, this is a difficult one to beat.
