What the owners love:

We have lived here since 2009, first as a newly engaged couple and now as a family of four with two growing girls.

What drew us to the house was the natural light, the layout and the generous sunny garden including the unique 2-story playhouse. We've added to it over the years and are particularly pleased with our rear kitchen extension, outdoor deck and spacious family bathroom.

Our kids attend Little Ealing Primary school and there are lovely nurseries nearby as well as Ealing Fields high school. It would make a great home for a young family or couple planning to have kids with a friendly street community and 3 big parks within walking distance (Blondin, Boston Manor and Lammas).

We like the convenience of being close to both the Piccadilly line and Brentford rail station (handy during strikes!) South Ealing and Northfields high streets are a short walk away with loads of shops, cafes, restaurants. Particular favourites are Court of Miracles coffee, Pitshanger bakery, the local pizzerias and Patri.

What the agent says:

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover. From the outside, this superb, much-improved family home looks like a normal Edwardian terrace. But don't be fooled. It's truly impressive, inside and out.

The traditional two reception rooms and a kitchen ground floor layout has been transformed, with the rear of the property benefiting from a substantial extension.

That's allowed the creation of a gorgeous open-plan cooking, dining and socialising space. It's flooded with light - from skylights and the full-width bi-fold doors which give access to the raised deck.

Whether you're getting together as a family or entertaining friends this is now a superb space. It's sure to inspire you to make full use of the sun-trap, sixty foot plus, south facing rear garden, which even has its own playhouse.

With all the socialising likely to take place at the back, the front reception room can be a peaceful place for grown-up relaxation.

The first floor has two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a family bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower.

The loft has been converted into a spacious top-floor master bedroom suite, complete with dormer and shower room.

It all adds up to create a superb, versatile family home.

The property is something special and the area is pretty impressive too.

Darwin Road is a quiet tree-lined street with a real community feel. You'll be welcomed with open arms and it's the kind of place where neighbours quickly become friends.

It's handy for the shops, cafes and restaurants, with both Northfields and South Ealing high streets only a 15-minute walk away.

Northfields has a great mix of big names (such as Sainsbury Local for your midweek top-up shop) and quirky independents, like Da Moreno, Maxim or the Cheddar Deli.

You've also got plenty of public transport options too. Northfields & South Ealing stations are both on the Piccadilly Line and you can pick up the South Western Railway from Brentford (just over 10 minutes walk away). It's a viable 'Plan B' if there are underground cancellations or service disruptions.

As well as the fantastic connectivity of public transport, there's also quick access to the A4 & M4 for getting into, and out of, London.

If you have kids, Little Ealing Primary School (rated 'Good' by Ofsted), Mount Carmel, a popular Catholic school, and the newly built Ealing Fields High School, are all around 10 minutes walk away, up towards Northfields high street.

Getting some fresh air with the kids or walking the dog will be a breeze, with a choice of parks all within walking distance. You could even work up a sweat by taking part in the Saturday morning Gunnersby parkrun! If you'd like to venture a little further afield, the 65 bus will take you into Richmond for the lovely town centre and the gorgeous Richmond Park.

This immaculate, much-improved property is ready for you and your family to move into.

Everything has been done to such a high standard, there really is nothing left for you to do!

We're expecting plenty of interest from discerning families - make sure you don't miss out by calling 020 3488 6445 to book a viewing.
